I’ve been running lately.

So I’ve been running a lot more lately, getting ready for the Fort Wayne certified (that means it counts) half marathon.
Last weekend Isaac and I went out for a long run, and it was the first time I’ve been out over an hour in two years, I believe. It felt great!
We are looking forward to [...]

Exercise.

Posted by nathan on 04 Aug 2008 | Tagged as: my life.

I’m curious…do you get enough exercise on a daily (or weekly) basis?
I’ve really been trying to exercise more this summer, and it comes and goes. I have done a better job of walking to work (8 minute walk one way), and also have been running (for the Fort Wayne certified half marathon in two months).
I [...]

Carless

Posted by nathan on 18 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: my life.

This week, I have walked to work as much as possible.
I have walked to work on Tuesday - Friday. I wouldn’t have driven my car at all in that time, except I had to get a couple of bags of softball equipment and didn’t want to carry 30 lbs of awkward bags for a 10 [...]

Fort-4-Fitness Half-Marathon is in My Future…

Posted by nathan on 18 Feb 2008 | Tagged as: my life.

This is an official announcement: I am running the Fort-4-Fitness Half-Marathon on August 27 in Fort Wayne.
I am excited about this race, and know it will be a great experience for me. I had considered the Indy Mini this year, but it is in May, which doesn’t give me a lot of time to train [...]

Soccer League Recap

Posted by nathan on 30 Jan 2008 | Tagged as: my life.

Just one final recap of my recent excursion on a seven-week indoor soccer league. This time, I have the photo to prove I was a part! In the front is Terry, who scored five of our six goals during the tournament. In the middle row, left to right, is: Guy, Sergio, Scott, Bo and Sean. [...]

My Soccer Tourney

Friday night was my 30 & Over league’s tournament. (Yeah…I’m barely old enough to play in that league!)
There are eight teams in the league, which means there are three rounds–quarter finals, semi-finals, and the championship game.
We were 4-2, and were the 3-seed. We won our quarter-final match fairly easily.
In the semi-finals, we scored the first [...]

Playing Soccer in 2008….

Posted by nathan on 21 Jan 2008 | Tagged as: my life.

This year, for the first time, I picked up playing in a soccer league. Not just any soccer league, but a 30-and-over league. I figure since I don’t have a bunch of young energetic punks running circles around me, I can keep up decently.
This past Friday night, our team, Espresso, completed our regular season at [...]

Long Day…

Posted by nathan on 07 Jan 2008 | Tagged as: my life.

On Friday, I had one of those days. You know those days, when it seems if anything can go wrong, it will.
It was a very busy day around the office, and to add to it, Judy and Carrie updated and completed the 2008 Daily Life Journals (which we still have a few available for $10 [...]

Too Competitive?

Posted by nathan on 09 Oct 2007 | Tagged as: my life., thoughts on life.

Two weeks ago, I played a game of flag football. (read about it here)
I am still sore.
This week, I was wondering, perhaps I’m too competitive for my own good. While we were playing, I knew I was going to hurt–I was hurting while I was playing. I would dive, and as I was getting up [...]

Flag Football Has Left Me Sore and Stiff

Posted by nathan on 24 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: my life.

This weekend I played a rough game of flag football, and I’m feeling the pains of my excursion today.
I dove multiple times for flags, and landed on my calf on like four straight plays, leaving my calf muscle bruised, I believe.
I was defending a pass to Dr Chalfant, and went up for a catch, and [...]
