Brief Update

Posted by on 13 Nov 2009 | Tagged as: Adoption

It is with sadness that we must say the birthmother has decided against placing the baby for adoption, after much pressure from her family to keep the baby. We had always known this was a possibility, so we were somewhat prepared, but it’s still tough to report.
So at this point, we are back to waiting for a birthmother to choose us as adoptive parents. We appreciate your prayers for us as we go through this process.

We’ll keep you posted.

Will be thinking about you guys! God has other plans for that little guy! The Lord has the very baby in mind right now, He knits us together in our mother’s womb and knows each of our hairs, and our days! So His plan will be the very best one. Love ya!

I’m so sorry. It’s easy to say that God’s way is always best, but sometimes it’s very hard to remember that…Tara’s reminder (see above) is so true! You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers, as will the son or daughter that God will bring to you in His time.

"And we know that all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be firstborn among many brothers" (Romans 8:28-29). God knows what its like to lose a son.

We share your grief~ maybe someday you would like to see pictures of the little boy we carried pictures of for 2 months thinking he was our son only to lose him. Your pain is real and will subside someday. For today, hang onto the verse your Dad posted.

All our love and Gods peace on you both.

    Nathan & Emily,

I am so sorry about this, and know you must be terribly disappointed. But I also know that something or someone better may be in your future.

I saw a wonderful film last night called Adopted, and would highly recommend it if you can find it. You can check out the adoption website at adoption mosaic.com

    Prayers for you,

    Jan

    Nathan and Emily,
My heart goes out to you, both. God will see you through this and has a great plan for you, both. We were devastated with a miscarriage in May. Though we have never been through the adoption process, we understand loss. Your pain is real and your faith is great. God has a child waiting for you in His time.

    Peace and blessings,
    Rachel

What a huge disappointment! I am so sorry. We are told to give thanks in all things but so hard to understand when the doors open and then are slammed shut. Nevertheless, I thank God for your trust and assurance that HE is at work and will work all things for everyone’s good. Love and Prayers.

praying for your hearts as the Lord has enlarged them to not only love the little fellow but his mommy as well. when we can love the one who’s decision has caused us pain then our hearts ability to love enlarges to love others more fully. there will be children running up & down the stairs of your home & their cries of joy & laughter will fill every room of your home & heart with joy unspeakable! rejoice in the Lord always & again i say rejoice for after a night of weeping then joy comes in the morning! so again i say rejoice for joy is coming!

I am so very saddened to hear about the adoption falling through. Sometimes when my plans don’t add up and I have disappointment, something better than the one I had comes along and I think: thank you God, because if I had taken this one, then I wouldn’t have had a wonderful blessing from you. So, keep trusting God that he has a wonderful plan for the both of you!
    God bless!

A child not yet seen by human eyes
But known and loved so deeply
In a way that can’t be explained

    Emotions like you never imagined
    Flow through your heart
Aching for the day to meet

    But that day doesn’t come
    Hopes dashed
    Dreams shattered

    Trust
    Keep trusting
The One who made you, makes another

    Another to call your own
    In His perfect timing
    In His perfect love
