When you purchased this vehicle, was gas mileage a reason? If so, how much influence did it make on your decision?
Was economics an issue in your choice?
Was going green or conservation any influence in your decision?

I inherited this car from my wife when we got her a newer car to drive to Fort Wayne every day.
I get between 31 and 33 mpg in my 03 Impala, just by driving slower. I drive 45 mph on the back roads, it takes just 3 minutes longer to get to work, and my fuel economy jumped 5 mpg!!!!

I purchased this vehicle, a 97 Isuzu Hombre 4.3L V6 for 2 reasons. 1. because my 94 Dodge Ram wouldn’t fit between my house and the neighbors fence without great concentration. We’ve a detached garage in the back yard of a very old neighborhood. 2. Because I would be taking a mobile tech support job and knew I would get better millage. The Isuzu was $3000 and I should have saved up a couple more months to get a little newer model. I’d say the decision was slightly more about $$$green than green.
I also get better millage when driving slow and buying non Ethanol gas.
