I Miss My Wife Already

Today Emily has a one-day business trip to Philadelphia. She left the house this morning at 4:30 a.m., and will return about 10 p.m. tonight.
I woke up just before she left, and was able to pray with her before she left. But then I went back to bed until 6:30. I thought about just getting around and getting work done, but 4:30 is way to early for me. I’m a morning person, but not that kind of morning person.
I left for work at 7:20, forgot I needed to drop a letter off at the post office, so I had to turn around. Once I did that, I pulled in to work, and then realized I had forgotten my coffee at home, so I drove home (90 second drive) to pick it up. After I picked it up and was walking out the door, it hit me–I didn’t have my lunch either.

I miss my wife. Normally we leave work at the same time, and she always asks, ‘Do you have your coffee?’ as she grabs our lunches out of the fridge. Emily is a good wife for me, and I miss her already. I am looking forward to having my wonderful wife back home with me tonight!

I love you Emily!
