Most of the time, members just want to check off their attendance like on a "to do" list; and they want the minister to speak less than twenty minutes and they want the song service to be for them so they will get something out of it. Whatever happened to people who understood that church worship services are for God? I don't know much I guess, but how can you build a relationship with God based on an hour a week on Sunday morning, one or two Sundays a month? You may say that church services are not the place to build that relationship with God, but how many people actually build it anywhere else? It's important to worship together. The first century Christians met every single day in each other's homes and shared everything they had. Yes, I would go to church five hours on a Sunday. But, there isn't a church anywhere near my home that would meet that long. This is the first time I have seen your blog. I like reading it! According to the cars, those new hope members go on saturday night, they roll back in on sunday morning at 9am, and don't get out until noon! Maybe staggered services, maybe there was a wedding or gathering of some sort, maybe they're just a bunch a thirsty people. yes!
