@Tara, that is hilarious! I tried that at home when I was a kid, but my parents just made me do it again until it was right!

@Nate: glad we had those times, and glad your grass survived me!

Sounds like my dad and Nathan could talk grass. Todd, there was a whole STRATEGY at my house growing up surrounding "doing a crappy job". It went something like this: get asked to mow the lawn, mow badly (try to swerve a lot "around things"), watch Dad freak out, never get asked to mow again. I have two sisters. We were all successful.

Yeah, i finally got the spot of grass you killed to grow back. It look like FOUR WHOLE FLIPPING weeks. :)
Now you can't even tell.

And btw, every time I see one of those weighted punching bags, I think of you, Todd.
Likewise, I thought about you whilst writing this about my grass as well.
Funny stuff!

Oh my. You have no IDEA how Nathan is about his grass! When I lived with him for a year, I found out.

I mowed the grass once. He thanked me, but I could tell I did a crappy job. :)

And then there was the time I killed some of his grass.... if he wasn't such a great friend, he probably would've evicted me!!

(I am joking, of course. He loves his grass, but not THAT much. I hope.)

Great news about the roof, we had a complete new roof put on our house a few years ago and it took much longer than it sounds like your did, I think it was about three weeks! Crazy! But once it's done you'll probably never think about it again so I just wanted to stop by and say welcome back and happy to hear things are going well at your house project-wise. Oh and don't sweat it, please remember there are WAY more important things in life than your grass!!! ;)
