Apple slashes prices on iPhone, offers rebates to early adopters

Just two months after the release of the iPhone, Apple has announced a $200 drop on iPhones.

This, of course, upset many people who stood in line for hours or days and paid the extra $200.

So, Steve Jobs and Apple stepped up and issued this statement.
The read about old Steve-o, the more I like what he’s doing.

    Yes, I’ve become a true Mac user. I just can’t imagine using any other type of computer. The longer I use my Macbook, the harder it becomes to even consider using Windows, even if only for a moment!

    I had considered getting an iPhone right out of the gate, but now, I’m glad I waited. I’m still trying to decide if I should hold out for the second generation iPhone, which will hopefully be a better product and answer some issues with the Edge/3G situation, or if I should just spring for it now…ah the technology curve…
