Interesting Walk to Work today…The Events Unfold…

I walked to work today.
As I neared the church turn-in lane, i watched as several things all came together:
1. a slow moving tractor with a large mower–and about five cars behind it–was traveling Northeast-bound.
2. My friend Erin was traveling Southwest-bound, and was stopped to turn left into the parking lot, waiting for the said tractor and traffic of No.1
3. As Erin was waiting to turn, several cars backed up behind her.
4. BANG! Some high school girl smashed her brand new little red car into a car in front of her.
Everyone was okay. It was probably a 20 mph crash, i would estimate. It was about 20′ from me.
The car the girl hit was a high school guy and girl, and they all knew each other. I waited for about 15 seconds, and quickly realized everyone was just fine, and they all knew each other. One of Waterloo’s finest arrived in about two minutes.
How often are we going about life and BANG! something unexpected happens? Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad…but nonetheless, BANG!
