Running Injury…

Posted by nathan on 29 Aug 2007 | Tagged as: my life.

I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with my leg, but I’m injured.
A few weeks ago i noticed the onset of shin splints, and i worked on my shins, and it went away. Monday i noticed more pain in my shins. Last night it was worse yet.
So i’m going to be backing off my workouts, and not running on concrete (hardest surface you can ever run on).

Certainly a disappointment, but i need to ease back now before the shin splints become something else, which is not cool.

Hopefully two weeks of pulling back to a 3-mile max will help my legs…I’ll keep you up to date with all the latest information.

Hmmm…I think I’m injured too. I better cut back on my workouts too…let’s see…I think it’s probably best for my health if I cut back to 5 minutes once a week. What do you think?

    5 minutes 30 times a week, maybe.

I know how frustrated I would be if I couldn’t ride my bike/exercise.

If it would help, you are welcome to go bicycling with me. That might still let you get exercise, while giving the injured parts of your legs a break.

If you are interested, just shoot me an email and we can work out times.

Thanks for the offer, but i can’t ride my bike. It blows. I tried riding it last summer, and got about 1/2 mile, and had to turn around. bent rim, handlebars are loose (and won’t tighten).
I’ve talked about getting a new bike for some time, but i’m a cheapskate, and know i wouldn’t use it enough to justify that expense of a decent bike.
Thanks again! I’m sure I’ll recover in the next few weeks…
