Today I dropped Emily off at the airport at 5 a.m. for a business trip to Memphis.

She was scheduled to arrive back in Fort Wayne tonight, which was a good thing, because i do not like being away from her. (I know, most guys would probably love a night of bachelorhood again, but i would much rather be with my beautiful wife than home alone.)

But when i look at her connecting flights back to Fort Wayne, it shows her first flight, Memphis to Cincinnati, is canceled. Not delayed, but canceled. It doesn’t look like there is any possible way for Emily to get back to Fort Wayne tonight.
Actually, there is a chance…there is a flight which gets in to Cincinnati at 8:00 p.m., and the last flight to Fort Wayne leaves at 8:02 p.m.

So i guess it is possible…

Here’s to hoping I get to be with Emily tonight!

UPDATE: Emily finally arrived in Fort Wayne around 1:15 a.m., and I got her home around 2 a.m. early Friday. It is nice to have her back!
