Am subscribing to the adage, "The lesser of two evils is still evil." Thus, my support and my vote go to Ron Paul.

For the record, Fred Thompson is a member of the notorious Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

"Too bad Ron Paul is unelectable. If very many of you young, idealistic whipper-snappers vote for him, then you can kiss whatever it is you might have liked about the US Constitution good-bye and say hello to socialism. Wise up: Ron Paul shouldn’t be a ’spoiler’ at those prices."

Haven't you noticed our steady decline into socialism for many years? How about with George Bush? No Child Left Behind, Medicare prescription drug program.... Have you noticed what has happened to our Constitution? Even though our public servants pledge an oath to protect and defend it, it's hardly even consulted anymore and downright trampled. Sneak and peak, habeas corpus removed, warrantless wiretaps, ....

I'm hardly a whipper-snapper, since I'm 50 years old, but I have watched this great man Ron Paul for over 20 years and I haven't seen anyone with more integrity, honesty, and conviction with a long voting record to back up what he says.

Yes it will be hard; most anything worthwhile is, but I'm not willing to admit we've lost our country to a bunch of elites. Way too many have fought and died for this great country. Seems to me, the least we can do is to stand up for Her in the voting booth, by voting for the one man who will do everything in his power to reinstate the Constitution.

His ideas seem outlandish due to the lack of exposure in the "mainstream media". The reason for constant inflation is our money being backed by nothing but the government's ability to print more to pay for more government spending.

There is no comparison between these two candidates! Ron Paul is the real deal and his supports need to get out there and tell the rest of the nation what he stands for and why he is the only chance America has for a free & liberty loving future. We cannot let "face recognition" win the day. This is just too important to sit on.

Please, please ACT! Put a sign, any sign in your car window that supports Ron Paul. I have and because of it have been able to introduce about a dozen people to his idea and campaign!

I switched from a Fred head to a Paulite and have never looked back. As soon as I dug in to the details of their campaign and personal history it was an easy decision to side with RP. At first I rationalized that if Paul was at least able to make a decent showing he has the chance to "wake up" other Republican candidates to what conservatism really is. If he is elected President some of his more outlandish ideas are unlikely to be adopted even if he had a Republican congress to work with. Since I've been a supporter I've come to realize how some of his seemingly outlandish ideas might actually work and make this country great again. And by "outlandish ideas" I'm talking about dismantling several federal agencies as well as returning the US to the Gold standard.

"Paul is certainly the only classical conservative in the race, but does he even stand a chance of winning the Republican primary? Probably not."

The only possible reason he couldn't "stand a chance" is if people that would vote for him keep believing that and don't vote for him. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you end up believing strongly in Ron Paul, vote for him in the primary!

If by that you mean you really have no voice and your vote doesn't count, then why bother pondering over it at all?

The myth of "wasting your vote":

If you don't vote for Ron Paul if he is your first choice, then you loose, either way.

Ok...let's see. Evil terrorists breaks into your house and says they're going to kill you and your family. There's a few of them (19), and a few you quite can't see as they've not entered the house yet. One says, "I'm going to rape and sodomize your wife", or you can go with my colleague, who simply wants to spend some time with your daughter...let's say a few minutes. Or, you can do something utterly foolish and outlandish. You can actually fight for your family and try to overcome the EVIL TERRORIST (which, by the way, is the right thing to do). I think fighting for Ron Paul is sort of like fighting for your wife and kids. The terrorist may win, but I, in this circumstance, would rather fight than to accept the lesser of two evils.

I love you Ron Paul people. You guys make the kooks on the left look mainstream. Paul is not conservative on the military or fighting for our national interests and the only polls that he leads in are the ones that Paul's supporters overrun and vote hundreds of times. He is drawing no support in any major poll and his fundraising is nonexistent.

Fred Thompson is the only conservative in this race that believes in the principles set forth in the constitution. I doubt Ron Paul has even read it....

I say Ron Paul

1st Fred is an actor. Check out his voting record against his current positions. There have been some shifts.
Watch him continue to parrot Ron Paul trying to steal his votes.

2nd Fred's wife is a professional political strategist. Hmm He sure did take some time just feeling out the territory before getting into the race. Could it be he and his wife were strategizing?

3rd And what bothers me most about him is that he is the Bushie's pick. Establishment all the way.
Key Bush backers rally to Fred Thompson
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0607/4309.html

Ron Paul is consistent and his position is verifiable by his voting record and his library of writings. He didn't just recently strategize his position. He has stuck to these principles for many many years.

Ron Paul is the real deal. Fred is an actor who will change his tune if he gets elected just like Bush did.
