I guess my thing is that I don't set goals or make resolutions when the year changes. I do it when it's needed. I started a business in February a few years back, and I set short and long term goals at that point. I also set review dates and parameters to see if the goals needed to be revised. I think I need to have a reason to set a goal, and simply because the year changed just doesn't cut it. I guess I used resolution interchangeably with goal.

Not even the ones that I have written down. So, I have stopped making them. They are merely a source of discouragement and frustration to me. I think it is because I make them because that's what I am supposed to do at the New Year. I am able to keep resolutions that I make, but I normally make them at different times throughout the year when I see a need to do so. I guess it just doesn't make sense to me to wait until January 1 to make decisions and allow God to work on me. But that's just me.
