my 2007 goals

So i’ve been thinking a lot about making a set of 2007 goals.
My chiropractor, Tyler Chalfant, tells me every Dec. i should make a list of goals for the coming year. if i don’t have a list, how can i ever achieve what i don’t know i’m aiming to achieve? He has told me this for the past three or four years, and I have never actually written down my goals. Last year, i thought about it, and i even had a couple of mental goals, but i never actually set anything in stone.
Well, this year will be different. I am actually going to write down three things i want to achieve in 2007. So i am seeking your advice–what is a good goal for the coming year?
I do want to include more reading. this year, i’ve read about 600 pages. (i want to count pages instead of books, because some books are 600 pages, while others are like 90…). So next year, i want to double that commitment to 1,200 pages. (that’s like…100 pages a month, or 25 pages a week, or four pages a day) Part of me says i can do way more than 4 pages a day, but i also know i do not have a track record of reading more than 2 a day, so doubling it is a pretty lofty goal for me, i would say.
What other goals would you suggest for me? (and while you’re at it, perhaps you could think about your own goals for the coming year?)

Ah, yes. Goals. “A ship doesn’t sail with yesterday’s wind.”
How much do you exercise? How healthily do you eat? Those are two of my biggies to improve.
I should probably read less.
I want to set aside more time for God.
You could make it your goal to fix that step in the basement that Benaiah was always tripping on.

‘that step’?
don’t you mean, ‘all the steps’?

Well… how about making a goal to devote some time for a non-church or para-church charity? It’s a great way to get to know non-church-goers and let the community know that we, as followers of Christ, are not limiting our service to those who step through the church doors.

I need to make goals on paper (or .doc file) I am horrible at that so thanks for the kick in the pants.
Nathan, make a goal to change yourself in an area of negative feedback from the little lady (you know, like putting your underwear in the laundry basket). Living sacrifices and all that stuff.
You too, Todd!
Lets see… I am going to clean up after myself more. Sometimes I selectiviely do not see the dishes in the sink. I will do that… at least.
